Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: All In-Game Trades
There are a couple of in-game trades in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl that players should know about.

Every single mainline Pokemon game has several in-game trades that players can participate in. As for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, there are a total of four in-game trades for players, and the trades are the same for both versions, unlike the version exclusive Pokemon.
This guide will go over all of the trades that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl players can encounter and where they are located. It should be mentioned that once players give another trainer their Pokemon, there is no going back unless the player restarts their game and loads an older save file to revert their actions.
Machop for an Abra
In Oreburgh City, the location of the first Pokemon Gym Battle in the Sinnoh region, players will find a young girl named Hilary. Players need to enter the building to the left of the Poke Mart and speak with her. She will trade players a level 9 Abra in exchange for a Machop. Players can level up the Abra to level 16 to evolve it into a Kadabra, but in order to evolve it into Alakazam, it'll need to be traded.
Buizel for a Chatot
When players make it to Eterna City, the home of the Grass-type Gym Leader Gardenia. Next to the Poke Mart, there will be a large condominium. Head inside and speak to the kid sitting at the table on the first floor, and he'll trade players his Chatot in exchange for a Buizel. Chatot doesn't evolve into anything, but it still can learn some powerful moves by leveling up, such as Uproar at 45 and Hyper Voice at 57.
Medicham for Haunter
Mindy is located in a home at Snowpoint City. She is well-known for tricking players into trading for her Haunter. If players aren't aware, Mindy will give players a Haunter holding an Everstone in exchange for a Medicham. This means that the Haunter will not evolve into Gengar during the trade with Mindy. Players can always remove the stone and find a friend to trade with, but it's still something to watch out for.
Finneon for Magikarp
And last but not least, the last in-game trade in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is with a man inside of a home on Route 226. In exchange for a Finneon, he will trade players a Magikarp that comes from Germany, adding a German entry in the Pokedex for Magikarp. The Magikarp will be given at level 45, so players will only need to level it up once to evolve it into a German Gyrados.
